Philosophy of the Organization

The functional purpose of the Northern Indiana Power from the Past Corporation is for the preservation, rejuvenation and displaying of antique farm machinery and any other form of machinery utilized in the growth of the United States of America. Further, it is the intention of this Corporation to attempt to foster and perpetuate in the minds of all Americans, respect, interest and recognition of the vital role that different forms of machinery, no matter what their power source, have played in the development of our society as a whole.

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

  • Be a student in one of the following school corporations: Culver Community Schools Corporation, Eastern Pulaski Community School Corporation, North Judson-San Pierre School Corporation, Pioneer Regional School Corporation or West Central School Corporation. Seniors from other high schools may apply if recommended by an active member of Northern Indiana Power from the Past.
  • By going into a two-year or four-year training program in one of the following career fields: agriculture, engineering, agri-business or a vocational-technical program that is agriculture related.

There will be up to three $500 scholarships awarded this spring. These non-renewable scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors, and payment will be made after the successful completion of one year of higher education, and proof of enrollment for the following semester. The Northern Indiana Power from the Past scholarship committee may deem it necessary to interview the prospective finalists.
